LYMPH AND LUNGS TEA

GENTLE SUPPORT FOR THROAT AND CHEST COLDS

ALL ORGANICALLY GROWN:

MULLEIN, RED CLOVER, Yarrow, Elderflower,  made with love

4 Tea Bags

A tea blending red clover, mullein, yarrow, and elderflower is a traditional herbal remedy primarily used to support respiratory health, soothe congestion, and boost the immune system. Each of these herbs brings unique wellness properties to the cup, making it a popular choice during cold and flu season.

Benefits of the Blend

  • Mullein: Known as a premier respiratory herb, mullein leaf helps to soothe irritated airways, loosen mucus, and calm coughs.
  • Elderflower: These delicate white flowers are celebrated for their immune-boosting properties. They are traditionally used to fight off colds, reduce sinus congestion, and gently lower fevers.
  • Yarrow: A powerful anti-inflammatory, yarrow promotes sweating to help break a fever and acts as a mild tonic for both circulation and digestion.
  • Red Clover: Packed with antioxidants, red clover adds a subtly sweet, earthy flavor. It is also highly valued for its isoflavones (phytoestrogens), which support hormonal balance.

How to Brew

Measure: Use 1 to 2 teaspoons of the dried herbal blend per 8 ounces of water.

Steep: Pour freshly boiled water over the herbs, Cover & Wait: Cover the cup with a saucer and let it steep for 5 to 10 minutes. Covering the mug is crucial because it traps the volatile healing oils and essential nutrients in the steam. [

Strain: Strain the herbs completely (mullein leaves have tiny hairs that can be scratchy if not filtered out thoroughly). You can add a touch of honey or lemon to taste.

Safety & Precautions

While this blend is highly beneficial for many, it comes with a few important health considerations:

  • Pregnancy Warnings: Yarrow is considered unsafe to consume during pregnancy as it can stimulate the uterus and affect the menstrual cycle.
  • Blood Thinners: Yarrow promotes blood clotting, so individuals taking anti-coagulants (blood thinners) should avoid drinking it.
  • Hormone Sensitivity: Because red clover contains plant estrogens, individuals with hormone-sensitive conditions (such as certain cancers or endometriosis) should consult a doctor before drinking it regularly.
